The Patent Team has extensive experience in filing and prosecuting patent applications, both in the UK and in Europe. As you might expect we have a high level of expertise in working with both the British Patent Office and the European Patent Office.
We work efficiently for our clients to obtain patent protection that is as broad as can be justified. We are pleased to act for a large number of international clients from every part of the world filing and prosecuting European Patent applications on their behalf.
We are proud of having a good understanding of how claims in a patent application will be viewed by European Patent examiners and we benefit from the fact one of our partners was previously an Examiner at the EPO. This experience in particular has provided the patent department as a whole with better insight into the thinking of European Patent Examiners. We believe this gives us the advantage of being able to prepare and file claims which will have a good chance of being allowed and the methodology to argue our case should the need arise.
All of our attorneys have English as their first language, allowing us to prepare claims in English with a full understanding of the exact meaning and scope of the claim. Combined with our technical expertise across a broad range of subject areas and technologies, this allows us to offer a full and efficient service to our overseas clients.
